I recall the thumbnail - thought it was skin (well, I suppose it is, but...) Captures the texture well, though I'm not convinced about the interest of the image as a whole.

Managed to capture a sense of solidity in this water - like a carving, rather than like ice (if it is ice, then you've fooled me). I find the white/grey-point trying visually - it seems to have put a lot of the detail into a small area of brightness, and asks too much of the eye for me, especially in a complex and imprssionistic composition like this. Also can't escape the impression of a face in the background, accidentally or otherwise. And the title ...

Very small image, and lacking fine detail. The grand texture, if you understand me, is well shown. Doesn't hold a lot of interest for me though, I fear.

Sky, edges of the roofing-metal seem over-exposed, just to get some detail in the facing end of the barn? The patterning of the corrugations on the roof have suffered for that, and that is where the real detail of texture should be, I think. For this challenge, the end of the barn holds little interest, and it's a shame to have sacrificed the detail in the sky and the edges of the roof for that.

Good rhythmic shot, though the central area lacks some definition to me -perhaps as simple as their angle to the light. Some detail lost - almost like impressionism, its hard to make out the facts, just the sense of the terraces.

Nice idea. Lacks light and shade, and therefore any real texture though: if it weeren't patently obvious from context, these could just a well be little black and grey lines, rather than hairs.

Not an interesting subject to me, though you've done it some justice with your photography. Very low contrast - or at least very dark white point. Whether that helps kep the subtlety of the light and the textures or whether you've caught them kind of despite that I'm not sure. Just feels very gray, rather than monochromatic.

Good shot. Mono works well, light is excellent, positioning of the hand in that light suggests the work of the vorticist movement, or of monumnetal sculpture. Slightly extreme, would be my only detraction - other than that I don't actually like the image all that much.

Good use of light. Through glass? That reflection is rather trying, and for such a near-abstract shot I don't know how useful the foreground really is - the black lines and the out-of-focus first panel function as a frame of sorts, but it's alarge frame compared to the interest of subject.

Pity about the small image, as it looks to be rather a good shot. Certainly there is good texture, good lighting, and intersting progression to the little fellow's curves. The small size makes it difficult to see real detail on his head though. Very claer that snakes are not slimey though, really shows the smoothness.
