Pillow Softby relgraphicsComment: The tonality workd well with the theme and subject - a real sense of bedside light. You've caught a good sense of the osftness, and yet the patterened texture of that pillow; however its quite a bland scene really, isn't it? Nice feel, but not a great deal going on to really grab the attention. |

Flower Textureby rj324Comment: Very good. compositional use of the petals is top stuff, detailing and sense of feel on the opened bud is wonderful, high-key functions well, and balance within frame is spot-on. Greetings-card pretty. And I'm no fan of Flowery greetings cards :-) |

Delicate Textureby PaigeComment: Good work. I think you've cropped too tighly to these stamens though - not given them room to breath in the composition., especially on the sides. Pity you couldn't have kept some of the pollen off the petals too, but that's a hell of an ask - but then this kind of shooting is for absolutelperfectionists, and that perfection is quantifiable in these terms. Still good work though. |

"riet"by middelboschComment: Very good on the texture here. Good rhythmically too - and the slight progression of light, both in intensity and angle across frame is effective. Kind of thing that would make a good tiling pattern, but simply doesn't have enough to hold my interest long. technically exemplary though, nevertheless. |

Orange skinby photoqwestComment: Might almost be a plastic orang for all that one can tell here: reflecting the light from a surface, rather more impactfully than simply illuminating it, thends to lend things a certain plastic look, although it can emphasise shiny metallic surfaces too. Here it's removed the organic quality from the subject, for me. Not an attention holding shot though, i fear. |

Sunlight on a Leafby MonaComment: Very good texture on the stone-work, and I quite like your title - almost the most insignificant detail in frame, and yet without it it would eb so very boring. Good colouring - that velvety purple-blue emphasises the stone nicely. |

Cape Coralby jpetruskaComment: Weird - this might be the first time i've ever seen a shot here lit with on-board flash that actually works happily - those shadows serve here ot emphasise the depth of the scene, rather than flattening it out as with so much careless work. properly controlled too, not murdering the sense of texture at all. Good detailing, and good toning too. |

Bearby tommy_tComment: Good on the fuzzy furriness, good on the black and white, and an interestingly high-tech approach to take to a kiddie's toy -like the contrast of subject and presentation. Almost think he might have an Uzi hidden behind him. Mean. |

Full Metal Beltby Evil_MunkyComment: I find this an uncomfortable composition, this curl away from the camera, and only really suggested by focus - I would try to shoot it so that that movement was at least in the two dimensions you actually have available in a photograph, that would lead the eye more successfully, I think. Good work on the metal texture. |

Aged Deminby Everyday ReneeComment: Quality bright punchy shot. Great detailing and colour and focus. Works compositionally too, within that framing. The black plastic thing visible through the button-hole is a shame, but not that terrible. Only does half a job on communicating texture to me though, don't get a real sense of the feel of the denim. |
