Gerberaby betsypdxComment: great composition, and I really like the dof choice. wish the background was lighter, or perhaps a different color altogether so that the flower and its colors stood out more. |

Connect 4by mr_montanaComment: nice composition. wish the sky in the upper left wasn't blown out. i go back and forth on whether i like the reflections in the glass, or wish you had used a polarizer so that we could see in the inside. fun image. - 6 |

The Old Manby JudiComment: Absolutely incredible portrait. Should have been in the top 10 at least. |

characterby PhilComment: It may not have been DPC-friendly, but it remains a stunning image. Not just stunning...perfect. It disheartens me a little bit that this ended up so far down in the voting. |

bassby GordonComment: Great shot. Highly underrated by the voters. Did you use a little fill flash here, or is the lighting all ambient? |

Cowboyby bnileshComment: A severely underrated shot. Thought I would see this much, much higher in the vote tallies. Not sure why it didn't connect with the voters. The crop might be a little too tight, and I would have liked to see just a bit more light around the inner eyes. But otherwise a very emotive image. Perhaps this wasn't classically low key enough for the mainstream crowd. |

Quiet Observerby bmartinComment: Think this was quite underrated in the challenge and like both the use of negative space and the exposure level, which adds to the feel. One of the few "pet" shots that I have rated highly. |
