Bumper Cropby npaselComment: That's a cool looking 65 Econoline. I would love to have that thing to restore. There were lots of the vans, but not many of these.
Technically this is a pretty good shot. People would have probably liked it better if the van was off to one side or the other a little, and maybe at a different time of day, to get some long shadows. Keep shooting good stuff.

Florida's Back Countyby Ja-9Comment: It looks like you are seeing some beautiful places with your new canoe. You placed well above my entry in this challenge.

Low Tide, Summer's End, Stage Harborby Bear_MusicComment: The low brightness, high saturation, and puffy little clouds give this one a nice relaxing but melancholy look. The clouds remind me of the Bahamas, when the sun reflects off the bottom of the shallow banks through the green water making the bottoms of the clouds glow green. It's beautiful, but errie. |

E.T. Phone Homeby loveComment: This is delicious, and my favorite time of day.
You didn't post your camera settings with this, so I am just guessing that you were shooting at a high iso. Try some night shots as iso 100 or 200 and it will help a lot with the grainy look in the lower lighted areas.
I'm a relic from the days of film and chemistry, so I sort of like photos with a bit of grain, but they get hammered in voting here at DPC.
This is well composed, and I am ok with the telephone pole. You made a good connection with the title and the pole. |

Time to restby MaggyeComment: I agree with the flash possibly working better with a diffuser, or off cam with a bounce reflector. Maybe it was the pose that was not feeling just right. The far leg in the back looks sort of like a shadow of the front one. Maybe we are not used to seeing butterflies landed on things other than flowers. |

Oct 05 - Sparrowby hajekaComment: I knew that there would be food in there somewhere when I saw it was your shot LOL. Focus, DOF, and sharpness are working to hold my attention right on the bird. He's color coordinated with the chairs. That's a nice lens. 135 is one of my favorite focal lengths. |

Curious Franklinby AliciaComment: This is a good glimpse of a minute with Franklin. Cats can be so cool. This is definitely a lucky one to have you for his human. |
