Lachlan's Sack Raceby MakkaComment: Children are the best of subjects. When they play, they are totally immersed in their own world, and it's not too difficult to get pics that are candid. The only thing that needs anything here is to perhaps crop a little on the right, and then a little off the top to maintain the size format. |

Cloned Kitesurferby tmhallingComment: The bridge piers and the repeating image of the surfer seem to fit with each other.
What a neat way to illustrate the action, with the multiple images thru the event. this could be a good training tool, as well as a very classy poster for those involved in this sport. |

Samsonby JedusiComment: Gentle looking horse. It looks content but like it needs some TLC . The pose and B&W bring the image to life. Love the hair-do :-) |

"I have to pee..."by ShermyComment: Have to grin at this one. Good view of a very human situation. The crop with the mouth expression is just right for this. Is that your 67 Falcon? |

Ode to Joyby MelethiaComment: This is an excellent image. It would have been a good entry for the "diagonal" challenge for sure. It's quite abstract, just color form and motion, which is a nice disconnect from the usual static capture of a split second.
I like it too, as I see others have commented.
Good title too. It really fits the scene.

Nikon-Bath.jpgby idnicComment: You have to go where the photos are to get them. No guts no glory.
The Canon Mk II are water resistant, but not Nikons.
I like the divider block in the background.
Thanks for the grin. |

Lone Sunsetby ralfwComment: Did you hand hold this shot and use higher shutter speed to keep it from blurring? The out of focus plant in the foreground would look better if you had used a tripod and slower shutter speed and smaller aperture. From the yucca plant out to the horizon it looks just superb! The composition with the spindely looking plant on one side is very good with the layered clouds behind it.
I like your comment on this one.

The Queen Of Linesby xXxscarletxXxComment: This image really has an aborigonal flavor to it. The black area on the forehead makes the shape of the face in the image grab your attention, even in the thumbnails. It seems somewhere between body paint and dreamland rock drawings. The one sided composition is also a powerful part of what makes it work, as though she is peering out of a door frame into the room with you. The only distraction is the touch of light in the upper right corner, but maybe you left it to show the hair line there. I enjoy seeing what you have been doing as you have such a unique way of seeing and capturing what you see.
Very creative and great imaging with the B&W and high contrast. I can't understand why it placed so low in the challenge. |

Terminal Frost (from A Momentary Lapse of Reason)by DrAchooComment: I'm glad that you went back for more. The frost and red in front of the green and brown background really make a scene worth looking at. Just lovely in color and composition, your usual fine eye for what makes an image shows again in this one. |

Butterfly on Orange Flowerby JuliBocComment: Every thing was just right when you clicked the shutter on this one. Thanks for posting the pic and also the location. I may want to go there some day when I am in that area. The soft green background really makes the strong colors in the subjects look good. |
