This is a splendid scene to begin with, and the "simplifier" PP gives it the slightly hazy look that allows imagination to fill in the details. I had to go back several times to see this again.

Very pleasing to look at. The purple in the back looks so soft that it's almost like a gas flame in shape and color. Good choice for the challenge, and I see that it did better than you thought it would.

I really like this image. I'm wondering if you noticed how the line of clouds with the blue below almost line up with the waterline of the boat when you were setting this one up. I see the lighted area that Ursula mentioned as well. That helps a lot to light the details to see in the boat.
There is quite a lot of woodcrafting art to building this kind of boat.

Nice close up. Like the colors too. The closest parts of the image are not quite sharp, but that's ok, it still kicks butt.
BTW, somebody took the fuses.

It's the poor little engine that almost could, but didn't quite.
That is a very impressive image of the falls "behind the scene" that we normally see. Good of you to pick up on this theme, and to see the photo there. I like the muted colors, as they seem to add age to the scene.
It makes me wonder why they chose to abandon it in this spot.

Exposure is good in this image, with the light coming from behind and one side. You got the pattern in the feathers to show up without overexposing other important areas of the bird. If possible I always try to shoot with the sun somewhere behind me when doing wildlife photos. This helps to eliminate deep shadow areas, like around this bird's eye in the image.
It appears that you are truly interested in digital photography, as you have good equipment. This site has much to offer in sharing the knowlege and work of many excellent photographers.
I see that you have not posted many photos to your profile at this time, and hope that you will keep shooting and posting photos from your part of the world. Aus has great photo ops with all the unique wildlife and beautiful landscapes.

This is a very catchy image of an amazing structure. I am glad that you knew that you could get this effect at night, and that you did it so well. Great play on perspective with the way that the arch diminishes in size to the top and increases again on the far side of the river. The designer would be proud of this image.

Very nice the way the beam of light lifts the plant out of the dark background. Huckleberries grow here in Florida as well, but in sandy soil where it gets damp, and in the direct sun.

Nice job of photographing a forlorn looking coconut, and it fits the challenge format well. The loose fibers add some texture and character. Brown seems to match the implied depressed mood with the "eyes."
She reminds me of a pet party coconut that a group I was with had with us in Bimini. We named it "Coco P Nutso," and everything was fine until we landed in Ft Lauderdale. The customs people took him away from us at the airport :P

Though it takes a lot of flash to get the seed pods, it's a bit strong on the limbs in the foreground. They look "flashed," which I think is not what you wanted.
I'm not sure how you would get around this and still get this view without just shooting multiple images and layering them. I get into this kind of shooting situation myself, and would like to know, if you solve the problem while shooting, how you did it.
