Artists-point-2658.jpgby BlueZamiaComment: The bit of rock in the left corner gives a good sense of depth to this image. It's an awesome place, and the image looks like it should be a post card. |

DSC_5203v1.jpgby yakatmeComment: This is a snowy egret, once called a "plume bird" and hunted for its feathers for ladies hats. They are still not very common in Florida today.
Good capture. It is not easy to get the black and white both to show up right in digital images of white birds like this one because of the huge difference in reflectivity. |

PLB-SideDown_IMG_5571-FPC-PRINT10wt.jpgby GeneralEComment: Butterflycaledic! These were everywhere in the late 60's and early 70's. Beautiful butterfly, and very nice capture the way the light from above reflects up under the wings. The background is fun, but seems to distract from the subject. Very colorful image. |

Elevenby ndsComment: Very interesting wood work, with the fancy door. I would like to see more area of the doorway, but it looks like you were going for the number to be the primary subject. The image tech is good. |

Lunch at the recording studioby FedericoComment: Open eyes and more attention to the edges of the "hat" would have helped this image. Strange concept, the kind of thing a musician/artist would think up. Looks like a fun shot, but not seeming to be well thought out and executed in a photo studio way. |

Decayed through timeby PretoriaComment: I would have titled this with something to do with the unusual dimentions of the door. Something with some humor about it would be good for instance, "basket ball players entrance."
Otherwise, good use of black and white. The image is a little out of level looking. |

Enter the Void by IvoComment: This culvert shot would be really cool if the water was smooth and reflective. You would then have the concentric arches reflected in the water too.
It is an entrance, but not a very inviting one. There is nothing here to show scale, unless that is a very tiny human at the far end, but I am familiar with steel work, so I assume the plates are about 4 ft X 10 ft each. People with no knowlege of steel would not have any idea about how big this pipe is. If that is a person at the end, it is too small in the image to make it out at web size. |

'Push to Open'by FalcComment: Interesting an humorous painting. It took me a while to locate the "push to open" in this size image. I feel that without the brick and the border, this image would get requested for DQ because of it being a direct reproduction of artwork.
A polarizer would have helped with the reflection haze on the door on the right.
I would never have thought to paint the water yellow. |

The Brewery Gardensby nrulkovComment: Nice looking gate house, and photographed well. The angle of view uses the walkway to draw attention thru the gate. Nice looking landscaping at this place. Good depth of field also. |
