Touchdownby stargazer05766Comment: Ducks fly at light speed, so it is hard to get a shot like this timed and focused this sharply. Good catch! |

Feeding the Birds by SaraRComment: Go Sara! A garden shot is tough to get in the winter, but this one captures the right feel for the season. |

Snowy Owlby KimmymacComment: This is a cute little critter. I like the way he seems to be peeking without fully opening his eyes. Too bad about the fence, but it does add to the impact of the image, sort of like an overlay. |

Whitewallsby JutildaComment: 57 Cadiillac? Like the white sidewall look and the wire wheel. That's an unusual frame with this shot. |

VisitingII.JPGby sonniejakeComment: It's good that you have photoshop. For B&W conversion with basic editing, try dropping saturation to zero, then moving the color sliders and watch how the image changes. It's like using strong filters when shooting B&W film, and can make a huge difference in the way the image looks.
The centered composition, straight lines and being able to see the trees outside the window are strong points in this shot. |
