This is the crankshaft and flywheels with flat belt pulley from a "hit or miss" single cylinder engine. It probably dates from the early 1920's to 1930.

That was pretty sneaky to get the guy walking in the door. This is a cool shot because of the balance, having everything twice, one left, one right side, except for the guy in the door. Brilliant.

It's as if the horses are behind the wire, but at heart they are thinking about wide open spaces under big blue skies. Very artsy Roz!

Day 9 - Reflective Triptych

I thought that it was interesting that the reflections and the three wall receptacles divide this into a sort of triptich looking image. The reflection in the center is your arm with the camera. It looks like the person walking is going to walk right into the painting on the wall. Very strange stuff in this one, in a good way.

This is quite unlike anything I have seen you do before. The distortion and blur take the edge off the scene and allow your mind to fill in the blanks. It sort of makes me feel that I should reach in a grab the scene and lock it into my memory before it fades completely away. It connects in a good way on a different level than the perfect, sharp, exact images that you normally produce.
