I thought that you did a wonderful job on this. It has the clarity, depth, perspective, color saturuation and "eye candy" appeal that people usually want to see in here. I LOVE the texture details that you've picked up in this shot on the snow!! Very nicely done, Jo! Didn't vote in this challenge, but I wish I had have now! :)

Oh good grief! A beautiful shot, crisp, clear, artistic and a darker area in the shot kills it??? Actually, I think the shadow kind of "frames" the shot every well and adds to the movement within the footprints, drift marks of the wind on the snow. It all works. And, you're right...the footprints would be NO different if the shadow weren't there ROFLMAO!!! *SIGH*

Wow, I've never seen so many 1's...except on a total DNMC but, then again....look at the 4-10's that you got LOL Interesting that things went this way! :) 3 10's on an attempt to get the brown...pbttttt....can't even get that many 10's when I'm seriously trying to get a good score LOL!!! Ok, I'm curious now too. Just a want to see how badly a shot could do and what it takes to get one there? LOL

Didn't vote in this challenge but, I can see that the number of 10's, 9's, 8's 7's and 6's are pretty high for what normally doesn't do well in DPC. A year ago, I would have labelled this one automatically a "Brown" through the eyes of DPC voters LOL. Susan has said that there's "hope" for DPC. I'm hoping that's becoming true and that there's more artsy eyes viewing photos now. Personally, I'd like to have seen less of the lens droplets but, what can ya do in the middle of a snowstorm? LOL Seems that you have lots of "friends" in liking this one so, yahoo for you! :) Congrats on the blue Posthumous Ribbon. :) Gutsy entry! :)
