Decayingby riversongComment: it says abandoned but, it seems that there's something amiss with the composition...like perspective or something needed in it other than the door and window??? Not sure what would have improved this as I don't know what else was around it. |

Left Behindby Maureen TheriotComment: Well, it says abandoned but, I wasn't sure whether you meant the house or the cat! LOL I think this may have had more impact had either the cat been the focus by zooming in, or had the entire shot been zoomed out on so that more of it could have been seen. The composition just lacks something, somewhere...not sure what it is??? |

Outgrownby snafflesComment: To me, this shot says abandoned but, for a different reason...abandoned for a snow sled! LOL Nice shot...nice angle. |

Watchcatby citymarsComment: very nicely done...coloring and context show abandonment...thinking more the building than the cat though...*smile* Kitty looks well taken care of, thankfully! :) |

Condemned in Kentuckyby tfarrell23Comment: Really different editing and very nicely done! Love the perspective/angle of the strip. The building being condemned seems like they took a great deal of care to keep the front of it looking nicely...ie: the painted window and doors??? |

Goneby MelonMusketeerComment: Really nicely photographed, very nicely edited. A bit of a tight crop but, the angle of the cottage/home is quite nice. In looking at this shot more closely...LOL....something tells me that it's not quite abandoned with the satelite dish and the newer umbrella by the side. If someone is "gone"...they're likely returning. *wink* |

WMD Pale Aleby Dr.ConfuserComment: I really think this one should have scored higher than it did. No disrespect to the other wonderful shots but, this one had an "entire" element as opposed to a nicely edited smoke stream. I'm amazed at what you went through to get this shot. Nicely done. Have added it to my faves. :) |

Last Train to Clarksville... by NikonJebComment: wow, gorgeous shot and I'm sure is doing well in scoring too! I'd love to find out what you do during editing to achieve this look. :) |

Once a garden now ...by JohannesFrankComment: This really portrays abandoned including the bared trees! However, I think it may take a creaming because of the lack of focus and detail in the main subject. I could be wrong and hope that I am! |

The Tube Abandonedby drj5Comment: Has a deeper meaning and well portrayed. Everything but the tv and a few blades of grass and pebbles in the foreground is in focus. I'm sure that the scoring will be good on this one. It will all depend upon the "literalists" and whether they can allow/permit the deeper thinking. Sometimes, I think that if it's not a pretty stock shot, no amount of meaning will make it do well. SIGH |
