Elevated Train Lines.by RulerZigzagComment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
It looks like not many comments were given on this image, and that's too bad.
When I look at this photo, I see a street scene with lots of common elements, and some interesting light coming from sources both within and outside of the frame.
My eye automatically heads for the brightest spot in the image: the light almost center. It is bright, and it has a starry look to it. If I'm not supposed to be looking there, you may want to think about how you've composed this.
I like how even common items can be used in photos, and I really can appreciate your "slice of life" point of view here. My biggest suggestion would be to discover and then communicate something specific about this place. Right now, the whole scene is open to the viewer to see and explore, but it might be worthwhile to choose something on which to focus, and then select a point of view and a mood that make us really see and understand how you feel about the subject.
Good luck to you in the future, and keep up the good work!
Thanks,
David |

Groovyby GeneralEComment: Hey, that IS groovy! Nice composition, Paul. That line going from bottom to top really works for me. Colors seem a bit weird, but then again, I'm colorblind! |

spare.JPGby Rachel34Comment: Again, you've a real knack for composition! Again, try deepening (darkening) your tones, especially your mid-tones. Nice work! |

Desert Springby BAMartinComment: Oh man, I wish I was down there right now! The desert is an amazing place when rains are abundant. Now all I have is your good photo to tantalize me! I like how you've framed the scene with the two cacti. The mountain is on the same level as they are, and I can't help but feel that were it higher or lower, the photo would be a bit more interesting that it already is. 8 |

White flowerby vivienComment: Very nice photo. Centered composition works well, and your good handling of highlights retains the texture while adding a glow. 8 |
