"The Great Gatsby" Rememberedby beatabgComment: The title says you didn't intend a direct tie to the story. The girl fits the stories era, but the rest of the scene doesn't really. Overall an interesting take. My biggest gripe is the excess smoothing on the girl. 5 |

The Secret Gardenby giantmikeComment: The tie to the story is loose on this, but it is there. Would like better light, and maybe more emphasis on the path through the trees behind. 5 |

Brave New Worldby UrfaKComment: A funny take on the book. Looks like hot sauce blood? Would have like to see some of the offspring, even if just a shadow or something. 5 |

Black Beautyby jomariComment: This definitely ties well to the story. The light and the sky work well, but there is some weird spotting on the ground. The horse is alternately a tad over sharp, and a tad over smoothed in spots. 5 |

Damn Dust - The Grapes of Wrath by RmacComment: Very well done. The grain, the solemn worn look, the broken window, the darkness in the house all lend to the story, and not just the title. 8 |

The Picture of Dorian Gray by mrchhasComment: This is another of the shots in this challenge that not only matches title but story, and in a way that brings it to life. I'm blown away by the setup, and the inclusion of the painting in particular. 9 |

Alice in Wonderlandby tvsometimeComment: At first I didn't think that this played well with the story. I'm still on the fence, but in a weird way I can see her falling down a rabbit hole into a much different version of the story. 5 |

On Golden Pondby dtremainComment: This really could use some dramatic clouds with a sunrise or sunset, or at least just a better time of day's light. The vague link to literature, and a deeper story with it is my main gripe though. 4 |

"Airport" by Arthur Hailey (1968)by HarveyGComment: This is a shot that not many people can take. Fits the challenge well, but doesn't really wow me. I do like the controls in the lower portion of the shot, but don't like the bright daylight and plain sky. 5 |
