Beach Dreamsby AliciaComment: what a beautiful array of pastal colours and the reflection of the group of people in the wet sand works wonderfully. This has the feel of an impressionist painting, so full of light. Super shot |

Trespassingby BAMartinComment: I really like this shot in terms of the wide variety of shapes that there are in the composition and the way they are interwoven. Its a shame the sky is so harsh under the lead arch but I appreciate that there are some things that you just cant do anything about |

Still Occupied ?by SandyPComment: Sandy....You rock!!!!!
Its funny I would have never associated this image with you and this makes me love it even more!!!
Beautifully dark and the 'ghost' figure really adds a whole heap of atmospheric ambience. Wonderful composition that shows that great photographers can make the mundane seem striking
Wonderful |

Left Behindby bassboneComment: Peter
Great image and - what is becoming customary for you - a very impressive score and finish
I loved the broad range of earthtones in the shot and loved the elongated shadow of the chair. Great sharpness as well
Possibly for me the doll was a fraction of an overstatement but very cool nonetheless |

Weathered by KarenNfldComment: woohoo chappers!!!!! Sorry it has taken me so long to comment on this shot but I have been working away. Many many congratulations on the ribbon, the 7+ average and your second highest score
I think it takes a hell of a photographer to produce an image of such beauty out of what is essentially an ugly subject, but you have done this remarkably
Incredible tones and colours and a beuatiful haunting composition
Brilliant |

dragonfly by rozComment: Blimey Roz....Sorry it has taken me so long to comment on this photo (I have been working away) but let me say congratulations!!!! Not on the fact that you got your second highest score, or on the fact that you got your first ever blue ribbon - these are great in themselves - but my congratulations are for the fact that you have produced a picture of such jaw dropping brilliance that it could be shown anywhere in the world and alongside the work of any photographer in the world and it would not look out of place
Stunning.....simply stunning and it could not have happened to a nicer person |

Wannabeby colorcarnivalComment: I think that people may on occasion be bored with flowers and so the fact that this scored so well is testament to what a great shot it is. WOnderful composition and sharpness (you are doing better with your new macro lens than I am with mine) and you certainly could not say it did not meet the challenge
Congratulations on the outstanding score and finish and well done on getting a new shot for your front page |

Bank's Greed, Farmer's Demiseby CharleneComment: Congratulations on the excellent score and the great placement. Thoroughly deserved for a picture that went way beyond the challenge requirement and showed not only a deserted building but a poigniant story as well
Really like the black and white conversion, which again is all the more impressive as it was done in basic. Lovely composition and application of the rule of thirds. Certainly not a cheery picture but one that tells a story that is too often untold and is very cool for doing so |

DPC. Its six-year mission: to explore strange new aspects of the electro-magnetic spectrum . . .by raishComment: This looks like a wonderfully abstract piece of public art. Lovely sky capture which helps set off the divers well, although somehow they perhaps lack the touch of pop that would turn this from a good into a great image. I wonder what this might have looked like in Black and White so you could have really played with the contrast levels etc
Love the leading diagonals and very good composition to get all the figures framed so well within the image |

Moonlight Shadowsby PascalComment: Very nice shot and a super B&W conversion. Sadly for me the white tight border really does not work with the broad top bottom border and is somewhat distracting |
