... an entrance in ruins ...by rozComment: Well, I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one to mess up in the last few challenges! (see my Minimalism II score...) lol - I think we have a bit of synchronistic decision making going on, roz!
Tell you what, I'll race you to the brown!!! ha ha |

Night Lightby xianartComment: I like this a lot - the composition is very appealing, the colors have this rich, yet muted duplicity & the border adds an element you wouldn't expect from a scene treated like this. |

My Sanctuaryby jrjrComment: There's a lot to like about this scene, but your composition fell a little short. The centering doesn't work well here - this would have been a good candidate for applying the rule of thirds. Your horizon appears off as well - but again, the centering only accentuates that. Your reds are gorgeous, but I would have pulled more blues out in post to really give it some punch.
It's not a bad photo by any means, but it really could have been a great one with the application of a little theory! I, for one, am someone who regularly fails to compose a scene to it's greatest potential so perhaps I'm punishing the artist for the sins of the viewer... Good luck! << 7 >> |

Belting The Bluesby UbersteinyComment: Brilliant emotion -- I love the crisp focus & relatively shallow dof -- Your mid-tones are great, but the whites are cooked, unfortunately... << 9 >> |
