Line Outby TUTEComment: Nice use of negative space here. Very different shot. I think I'd have tried a square composition, which would have made the players larger in the frame. Otherwise, nice work. |

Grace.by fstopopenComment: You've certainly captured motion, but I'd say it's very difficult to use a slow shutter on a game of football, just due to changes in direction. The contrast on the shot seems a bit low. I think I'd have tried auto-levels or auto-contrast to try and bring out the green a little brighter as well as other elements of the shot. Good try. |

On the courseby sailinghuComment: Not sure about the composition. I think I'd have tried to keep the whole sail in if possible. Composition must have been very hard work with background objects, so I can see why you chose to include them, but I'd have tried to reduce the number of distractions as much as possible. |

Anticipationby debitiptonComment: Almost perfect focus and DOF. Nice choice of sepia too, I think it adds a lot to the shot. Good composition too. |

School Boy Rugby team in Actionby trainComment: Excellent composition and cropping. Nice sharp image and good capture of the action. Not too keen on very wide angle shots myself, but otherwise, great work. |

Team Tacticsby chookieComment: Novel sport to use. I'd have tried to crop or zoom in much tighter, trying to get some expressions of the competitors.... unless this was a candid, of course! As it is, I'd have cropped the sand and sky off, making it more of a square image I think. Also, a very minor thing - the left-hand sail is a little blown out, which it's worth being careful of on sunny days with very white reflecting things. Good effort. |

Let`s danceby geewhyComment: That looks like a melee. Nice sharp shot, although it's a little busy for my liking. I'd have tried to zoom in more on the action, if possible. Still, it's a very clean crop and nicely composed as it is. Good work. |

Competitive Stridesby dhareComment: Nice capture of the action, although the unhorizontal background is a little distracting. You were shooting (at least for this shot) 90 degrees from the sun's direction. I'd have been tempted to shoot another 45 degrees to the left (possibly the corner of the pitch?) or with the sun behind me. This would have brightened up the faces, left less shadows on the players, and also shown some interesting player shadows on the pitch you could have captured in your composition. Overall, good effort. |
