a night above the cityby guitarmaniacComment: Interesting but not overly so. Taking a picture out of a plane window is okay for wrapping up a trip but its hard to get an effective picture at night. You have the plane's vibration to deal with not to mention its motion. You are also shooting through a heck of a lot of glass. Consequently its hard to get a shot you are really going to be happy with. (i.e sharp with good exposure and composition). |

l_81772a330b7f2de0f47a6e01a.jpgby NowaytotellComment: I really like the eyes in this one and I'd say this is my favorite of the group you posted. The expression is relaxed and natural. I hate it when the kid gives you the "my cheeks can touch my ears!" fake smile. Especially when they close their eyes! :)
Looks like you did a good job and I hope you, the parents, and the child had fun during the shoot. |

See the Lightby KenComment: Nice black and white conversion especially in how the clouds and sky appear. I really like the streak of light in the water. Were it narrower it would divide the image but its width creates a nice pair of lines to the vanishing point.
The tree on the right really doesn't fit here. Hard to say how to get rid of it though. Zooming in would reduce the bridge to the left. Moving left would love that line down the middle. Moving forward doesn't look like an option unless you have a boat or a snorkel. If there is a way to shoot this without the tree to the right I'd like to see it in any event. |

The Heart of Romeby AldoGrimaldiComment: Really tough shot here due to the lighting. Getting more to the left to include more of the building on the left may have helped or moving right to eliminate it altogether may have also worked. Right now the pillar on the left almost serves as a border and really shrinks the viewing area. Even though there is things to look at to the pillar's left I really have to force myself to look there. |

State Street tangentsby tateComment: I really like the high contrast black and white you used here. Movie theatres are really good subjects for this kind of treatment so well done on your choice of subject. It looks like you had some harsh lighting so the black and white also helps with that. (i.e. rather than "harsh" lighting it is now "dramatic" lighting). Interesting angle you shot from. |

Light Wavesby parma182Comment: Interesting shot but knowing where you are shooting I think I'd prefer a nice sharp picture. Not one that was taken while you were walking. You have good colors, a decent composition but the wavy effect doesn't work here.
Sorry. |

View from Palm Beachby senor_kasperComment: Oh wow! That's the first reaction even when I saw the thumbnail. I love the bold dramatic sky and the way you captured the lights. The reflections effectively add foreground interest with taking your eye away from the skyline. I like the subtle details of this shot. (The cranes with their lights on them is an example) Really this is the type of shot I wish I had taken. I imagine there was some PP involved but it doesn't look over processed.

Houston Skylineby signal2noiseComment: Interesting starbursts on the lights. (I assume this effect was created by a filter and not done in post). I feel like something is missing from the shot however. The angle seems pretty much straight on my eye is left to wander about on its own. |

PS3 Buildingby heavyjComment: Interesting colors however they are a bit oversaturated. (This is evident in the trees.) I don't really care for building extending through the top of the frame however. It feels somewhat "chopped"
The overall composition itself is kinda strange too. Based on the title I know I am supposed to be looking at the building. However the composition doesn't really lend to this. |

Downtown Cowtownby Foolish IceComment: The colors seem a little oversaturated particularly under the bridge. Lowering the camera a bit would get rid of the branch in the top left hand corner. I like the light trails on the road. |
