North Saskatchewan Crossingby AtroposComment: Very cool shot. I like the motion blue of the river. It looks like you are right down by the river's edge which works. I'm curious what a shot from a higher angle would look like in comparison. The sky is kinda funky. We (in Calgary) had similar weather this week which screwed up my thoughts of getting out of town and doing some rural stuff. (Cityscapes with the lights making the clouds glow look cool I think).
I might be tempted to show less river and more sky as the bridge visually divides the shot rather than acting as an anchor point. |

Summer in the Cityby scarbrdComment: I like the clouds here but it looks liek you got carried away with saturation. The clouds have a very unreal look to them. The trees are nice for foreground interest however they are a bit underexposed. I'm guessing it was the sky that caught your eye however so that's understandable. Perhaps showing a biy more sky and less of the trees might have been helpful. |

City Lightsby M.O.C.Comment: Definitely unique and quite effective. It'd be nice to see more of the city lights but I'm afraid nature's light show has taken center stage here. I like the detail that's evident in the clouds and the rich blue at the top of the frame. Really well composed with the lightning strikes getting the "sweet spots" in the shot. |

Shanty Townby BudComment: Nice black and white conversion. I'd like to see a bit more of the shanties and perhaps the entire trees at the top of the frame. The water is nice here and does create a good leading line through the frame but the way its composed I'd have to say this is a picture of a creek rather than a picture of shanty town.
Aside from that I am guessing you used a polarizer which has eliminated the reflections in the water. It really helps with the mood you've created here. It looks like it was an overcast day so I would have considered exposing for the grass and letting the sky blow out. There's likely no detail in the sky to rescue anyways.
Overall this is a really unique approach to this challenge and hopefully one that other DPC'ers enjoy as well. |

On The Courtsby AngadeonComment: Not really a landscape I am afraid. I don't really feel this is a picture of the city but rather its a picture of two guys playing basketball. That aside this is a really tough shot to expose for. I would get to the other side of the court so they are being lit by the sun. From this angle they are very dark and its nearly impossible to rescue the detail in their faces etc under basic editing rules. (Advanced you could do dodging though). |

As The Fog Liftsby BrianRComment: Tough shot to compose for. I think the middle road is unfortunately the weakest. I think you need to choose to compose for the road or the shoreline. As such this almost feels like two shops mushed into one without really showing either side effectively. If this were under expert you'd be able to do a really cool panoramic that would effectively explore both sides. |

Navigating the Urban Jungleby Breeee123Comment: Nice shot but it doesn't say landscape to me. It looks more like a portrait or a glamour shot. (albeit a well done one). If you had used a longer exposure we might have a better view of what is behind her. Of course she'd have to stay perfectly still... |

NYCby J-AndyComment: Nice strong silhouette here. Cropping off a little off the bottom and showing more sky would be good. |

Other Side of the Tracksby IAmMoenComment: Getting better exposure on the train on the left would have really helped. The sky is muted already so let it blow out. The context of this scene is what we really need here to make this more effective. |

Sticks and Stonesby jdannelsComment: Interest foreground interest you created here. The lights are nice in this scen. The reflections work well. Too bad about the plane in the sky |
