I think you've done good with the whites and the pastel purple of the center portion of this is also very nice. I like this shot over the other one because of the angle and the fact you can see the dotted underside of the petals. I agree that it is a little soft but this can be overcome to some degree in pp. The problem with clearing up the flower is the graininess you'll get as a side effect but you can help that by processing the flower separately from the bg. If you get graininess on the flower when you do this then use the blur tool and blur on the petals while leaving the edges of the petals alone.

Hope you don't mind but here's an edit I did to show you what I mean. This is just a quickie off of your posted image but if you did it to the original it would probably work much better.

Interesting how nature is huh? I like the lines in this. The way the growth just flows through the shot.

You captured this very well and brought out the dew nicely in pp. I think if you process the bg separately and give it a slight gaussian blur it would get rid of the grain in the bg which I think was a result of the processing you used to bring out the dew on the flowers petals this would be much nicer. You could even just take this one the way it is already processed and mask out the flower so you're just working on the bg it would work nicely. Beautiful catch with the morning light and dew.

I agree with lynn. But this one looks like its on its way out soon as the upper "propellers" have started to droop just a bit. Again such a very cool flower.

Very cool. I like the middle one best but they work so well as a tryp.

The scene here is so busy. I like the idea though and think desire and ability are definately dichotomous.

Really not fond of the processing on this and I'm sure you're already taking a beating so that's all I'll say on that. As far as the challenge I think you've met it but I wouldn't have gotten that without the title so I think your title was a great choice.

If you created and placed those signs then I think I would have made the "somewhere" sign say "skidrow" but hey that's just me. I think you've done a great job with the challenge. I like the balance in color. With all the color on the guy headed to somewhere the lack of color on the guy headed to wallstreet is balanced out by the spot of color in the field on the right. The composition is done well here also. My only real nitpick is that it apears to be just a bit oversharpened in the path and the grass.
