Magnoliaby MichaelsComment: Great placement of the flower with the interesting pattern of the stems. Only thing I can think of to improve this is maybe a different bg choice. I like how that little bud interacts with the shape of the flowers petal. |

studying Texturesby MiepComment: Great idea. Could be better with either greater dof or having the focus point in the foreground with the child slightly oof. Also might be improved with a little more of the steps and stonework. I realize that might not have been possible depending on what was going on outside the frame of what you have though. |

Dragon faceby redpandaComment: Great job. dof isn't too shallow. Theres something there besides "just" texture the texture that is there is really good. lighting is good, not too flat. A tiny bit hot on the nose though but not too bad. |

Banana Leavesby lawrysimmComment: Well done. Maybe some added interest if you strategically placed a yellow banana just off to the edge. Many of the texture shots shots in this challenge that I find intriguing have great texture but also give me something to focus on besides the texture. It sort of breaks up the monotony that way. This one however is one of the best of those that have only texture and nothing else. |

Smooth as Silkby digifotojoComment: You have some great angles going on here with the oof background matching the angle of the flower. |

High Waterby davidwComment: Lovely job with the slower shutter speed. The key to these shots is having something it it that is in focus (which you have). |

Cracked Skinby spistoleComment: greater dof and something added to the shot to give the eye somewhere to rest might work better. |
