Behind the Beautyby LouisaComment: Nicely done. Good composition, Great lighting and exposure, contrast is right on. dof works well. And it not only meets the challenge but it's interesting to look at. Good job. |

Rough Cutby PNHComment: Well done. I love the shadow on this. The texture of the wood contrasted by the feathers own unique texture and the darkness of the shadow all work well together. Good job. |

Bumpyby drewhosickComment: and hairy. Diffusing the light source would show off the berry a little better imo. For the most part the lighting looks good. It's just that one spot there that could be diffused a little. Maybe an added fill light on the right could show off the hairy stem a little better too. The colors look pretty good though. |

Birds of a Feather . . .by whitewolfComment: It's a bit hot on the lower left. This cold be improved by moving the light source further away. Not too much though or you'd lose the good quality of light on the rest of the shot. Good texture and overall well done. |

Is it football season yet?by SEGComment: Good composition. I like where the word wilson is. Just enough to know what it is but not a dominant feature of the shot. The lighting sets off the texture on the threading quite well. Maybe a tad increased dof would help. Just enough to bring focus to the foreground texture but not enough to bring the background in focus. |

Kiwano by ti_evomComment: This is very well done. It held my interest for a good bit. As I look for something to comment on the only thing I can find is maybe the droplet at the left near the center is a little distracting but in basic there's not much you can do about that. Cropping it out would make you lose too much of that wonderful green texture. Maybe during the shoot adjust the light or "style the fruit" by dabbing that spot would help. Great shot. |

Tools forgottenby DCrest01Comment: I do like the brightness in this image but I'm not fond of the shadows. Maybe a fill light from the top right would help minimize that. Also the tool on the left might have been better placed by turning it around so that the brush is in the foreground. You have the similar textures on the other 3 tools and the shape of that one is similar to the red one so turning it around would add not only interest but bring in another texture which is lost off the screen on the left. It also looks like that one has more rust on the other end of it too. Overall well done. |

Wattle Podby Gordon_1Comment: Never heard of that. They are interesting little creatures though aren't they? Good exposure and contrast. dof choice works well. |

What was left of Summerby TechoComment: I think the light falls off a little too much toward the bottom of the image. It isn't so much that it loses detail but maybe adding a diffused fill light from the bottom would bring out more of the tables texture too. the exposure on the leaf is very good and overall this is interesting to look at. Well done. |
