The shadow from the finger is confusing for the shot, also the circle from the eyes is the first thing I noticed when the picture loaded.
I like the "perspective" here great idea.

Too dark, the "blood" looks to set up for it to actually make an inpact. The background is also a distracting.

Like you idea though I am not fond of the lighting. It is so hard to get well lighted pictures on a cloudy day. Your yellow border is a tad distracting.
