composition is nice, but there's some problem with the lighting. looks like it's lit from a window on the left and a room light behind the camera, which gives different color temperatures, and which flatten out the depth in the image.

i like this -- it's abstract in a way, and has a lot of shape to it. i wish it weren't so heavily saturated, though. i think you lost some texture, especially in the eggshell, that would have come out better with less saturation.

very nice lighting, color and texture. i love antiques. the composition is bottom-heavy though -- there's a lot of weight there that attracts my eye to the asymmetrical iron parts of the stove, which i don't really like. i'd want it cropped to a square, such that a little is taken off of the right (to center the pots), and that it's like a 2-to-1 ratio of top area to bottom area.

this image has a lot of initial bang -- i thought "woo cool!" when i first clicked. but there are subtle asymmetries and misalignments in the composition that kind of throw it off for me. it's a really challenging concept to execute because it has to be *absolutely perfect*. i dig the tonal range though, and the simple silver-on-green. nice image.

cute! i love the idea, and it's really well executed. something feels off to me about the composition, though. i can't quite put a finger on it. not sure, but i think i want the whisk's shadow to be more looming, somehow.

i love bamboo texture, and you did a clever trick using tatami as a backdrop. but i think you were trying to produce a glow coming from inside the bamboo steamer, that i think doesn't come out as glowy enough at all because the rest of the shot is so brightly lit.

the fakey vignetting takes away from what i think is a really cool idea, where each tool has done something somehow inappropriate to a piece of wood... i'm also not a fan of the blue surface against the yellowish wood -- the colors don't go well together.

i like the focus on the very front bit, and the texture and moody feel. the subject isn't very interesting to me, though. it looks like sort of a variation on a plain-jane product shot, i think. i wonder if there's some way to work in any additional elements?...

i really like the simplicity of the composition and shape. the texture and tonal range also appeals to me a lot too. the one disturbing thing to me is the shadow on the right side -- it doesn't look real because of the halo around the spoons. i figure the halo was added in postprocessing?

Morning routine

well thought-out composition, and cool old coffee grinder. i sort of feel like the shininess of the press and scoop takes away from the antique feel, though. and i wish i could see what the press is sitting on -- it sort of looks like it's floating to me.
