Deb this is beautiful. I think it's a very fine feather and the lighting in your studio is lovely in this shot. Kinda handy you have those lovely textures in your studio as well. Seriously it is very beautiful and I'm never going to complain about having nothing to shoot again.

Oh YES! yes yes yes. You know sometimes you see a photo and you just want to give it a standing of ovation, this is one of those and the longer I look at it the better it gets. I spent ages trying to figure out how you got the effect, ruled out filters and rain and finally gave up and read the description, well done (I am now going in search of a piece of dirty plexiglass). Then I started to look at why it works so well and the details are great. The yellow and black rope tying in and following the contour of the yellow in the upper right, the mans blue suit and the blue water, the red rope that's on the rule of thirds but somehow links my eye to the diagonal railing and up to the mans head which turns out to be also on a third. It has a once a busy but calm look. OK I'll stop, I love it, well done!

This is such a cool shot, I love that they've patched a bit with whatever blue paint was around. It has that slightly corny but friendly feel to it.
