decent photo, sharp on the details. B&W was a common choice for these despair photo's (funny that) and works well with this photo. This subject was a little overplayed this week, unfortunately, which will probably bring your score down some as people get bored with looking at hunched-over people. Hope your photo was closer to the top of the voting page.

I had to vote this down as I was unable to come up with any clue as to what I was looking at. A large black blob on a rust coloured background. Some mystery lighter coloured trapezoid nearish to the centre. And a thick, unattractive lilac border that doesn't really add anything at all.

Maybe I'm missing the whole point and this is a very creative take on despair - a photograph from the school of Impressionism. Maybe I was supposed to despair at knowing what this was?

nice closeup of the cat. Was unsharp mask run across this photo? The black subject on darker background makes it a touch difficult to see the fine fine details (ie. the whiskers).
