My sentiments exactly. As a photograph, it seemed like a snapshot to me, with the lighting, focus, and composition. (although from your comments it sounds like it actually took quite a lot of work to get these elements just right), but since this is a photography challenge I gave this a 4. But the subject itself obviously took you lots of time and creativity, and is marvelous and fascinating!
Just my two cents. :) |

Crisp Winter Eveningby IvoryComment: Wish the tree could be a little more distinct from the trees, but the colors here are powerful! I also love the unique angle you chose for the pov. Great work. |

Into the Fireby JeffryZComment: If you ask me though, this was good enough for a ribbon. But apparently only sunset shots with a beach or an ocean included are good, and only beach sunset photos with motion trails on the waves are worthy of ribbons! :D Ah well. Brilliant work, terrific shot. :) |

Getting to know youby IraklisComment: I like how there seem to be two different stories going on here - the two people with the dark horse in the background, and the little girl with the pale horse in the front. My only complaint is that compositionally speaking this is a little busy... perhaps some shallow DOF might have helped separate them? But in any case, the expression on the little girl's face is priceless. Something also, about how the face of the horse is cropped off makes him seem more threatening, so the viewer understands the girl's apprehension. |
