Dusty Red meets Dusty Greenby jaysonmcComment: I see tension in this, created by a slightly un-harmonious arrangement of curves, straights, & diagonals, reinforced by the anxious combination of green & orange-red. The black void is not at all reassuring. I'm thinking of creatures that swim in the ocean at night. Well done (but I would probably not buy it to hang on my wall). 10 |

Lost in the leavesby the99Comment: my eye goes straight to the scarlet color & stays there. the colors are bright & clear, the blurred detail is somehow crisp & sharp. oddly unpleasant to look at, at least for me. |

Illusion by gauravComment: nothing happens when I look at this but a pure & simple appreciation of color & movement. there is variety in the detail, complementary color, & the presence of light. an excellent abstract of the kind I was hoping to see in this challenge. 10 |

Fannedby MaryOComment: I like it too, it has a soft, organic feel to it that is appealing to my eye. |

Velvert Staghorn Spore - Day 1by sherpetComment: Sherryl, I admire your photography even more than your valiant spirit. You have an eye for abstract beauty in the botanical world & the skill to capture it in such a way that I can see it, too. I'm starting out this spring with the determination to use DOF to express my own abstract vision, with your work as my inspiration. Thank you for being here & keep on clickin'! |

swan.jpgby MAKComment: It doesn't take very long to get totally addicted to this process. I like layering/overlay for the freedome of expression & because it more closely follows the montage of images in my mind. This one xeems to have a layer of feathers in the BG, very subtle detail. What kind of monitor do you have (inquiring minds want to know)? |
