Caught by the Stormby mindbottlingComment: Sweet. I like the enigma of his expression, and the glow of the light, and the way the umbrellas break up the space. Oh, and also the non-DPC-friendliness of it. Fav! |

Lifeby e301Comment: This reminds me of turtles on a log (hehe). The clipped shadows make the arrangment of people-parts seem as random & unmoving as the cigarette butts. |

It's Her Bench During The Winterby J-MeComment: This is my pick for Best in Show. It was the little puffs of frozen snow on the ground that did it, combined with the interesting, uncompromising gaze of the Cat. The contrast is wonderful & the colors are perfectly balanced. 10 |

Front Row, Lakeside...by NikonJebComment: There are many beautiful views in the world & many benches placed to rest & enjoy them. This is my pick for the best of the best of this category of bench. I like it for the tones & the placement of detail. It feels familiar & new at the same time. 10 |

rose by AliciaComment: Yes, beautiful. Just the kind of card I'd buy thinking of sending it someone I like & then deciding to keep it for myself just for the pleasure of looking at it. |

17-october 08 expert edit. on my shoeby rozComment: I love the moment of shocked confusion as my 4 brain cells try to figure out what I'm looking at...& succeed. That 'aha' moment is so satisfying. And the abundance of detail on the fly is amazing & repulsive. It's 3-dimensional & 2-dimensional at the same time. Cool! |
