Graftonby mwwbackComment: Now this shows that a good candid *can* include someone looking at the camera. Fun catch, the b&w looks good as well. |

Childish Behaviorby gsalComment: Good, funny candid. I wish it didn't have the diagonal line. You probably could remove it by slicing off the right side of the photo and not lose the impact. In fact, a less-centered subject might improve composition. Nevertheless a great catch. |

Pricklyby naomikComment: I seemed to have overlooked this when voting; but now it catches my attention. It's a very appealing shot for reasons I can't quite discern. I love the "dust" in the upper-left corner and the duotone is lovely. Those thorns look positively deadly! |

Crackedby colorcarnivalComment: Some challenge entries confused "pattern" with "texture", but not this one. I thought this was a strong entry. The texture really stands out and makes me want to reach out and touch the wood. The b&w was a great choice and not to go overboard but it really does remind me of the great Ansel Adams. So there! :-) |

shades of deathby skewsmeComment: I love this image, it's like a still photo from a silent movie. What a creepy "scarecrow!" |

From Sweet Grace Fallenby digimComment: One of my challenge favorites, except for the frame. I'm glad she is holding a doll (rather than a knife or something), though I think an older doll might have worked better. Still, interesting accident how the 'V' her fingers make mirror the 'V' of the doll's eyebrows! Btw, I thought this was one of the "too" children ( timfythetoo or aimeethetoo).
