Abandonedby zackdezonComment: No lawn, man. No lawn, no love. I think you probably got beat up a bit for not having a typical lawn in the shot. Didn't vote in the challenge personally. I'm saving my votes for more exciting challenge ideas like 'roof' and 'driveway'. Message edited by author 2008-08-06 00:41:24. |

erable-2841.jpgby carofoComment: Japanese maple? I planted one of these last year. Those leaves and their metallic, shimmering surface were made for photographers. |

Rising Gloryby MaryOComment: I always comment before reading other comments, and I see that it's unanimous - your garden is full of black holes! |

Rising Gloryby MaryOComment: Embrace the grain, be the grain...
It's a black hole sucking all those rich blues into it, and a bolt of energy escaping to mark the event. This is great. |

5262 Tulip Hybridby pixelpigComment: Don't see that tone mapping it made a noticeable difference over the original, and to me that's a great thing (not a big tone mapping fan). The contrast between the whites and those deep, rich blues is very nice. |

Lens Flareby BAMartinComment: Very different. The backlighting almost turns this into an abstract. |
