From the South Bank. by SimmsComment: Great leading lines, nice "finish" to the whole image - I'd call it chrome. :) I could stare at this all night. It makes me think of silent movies. |

Spring Raysby lynnesiteComment: I think this is gorgeous, and has an impressive tonal range. I wonder though if b&w was the better choice - if there's a color version of this shot it would be interesting to see it to compare. Maybe the tonal variation in the foreground shows up in better detail in color; then again, this might be one of those images best viewed on a larger scale and not a little 4x6 box on my screen. :) In any case, my wondering doesn't hurt your vote any. Great shot! |

Parchmentby bobgaitherComment: Strangely compelling. I hope you explain how you got the shot in your description, I'm very curious to know. |

Ghost in the Shellby littlegettComment: Very enigmatic, mysterious. I have no idea what this is, but I like it. I wish I could clarify my reasons, but it's more of a gut thing. :) |

Axisby cabaComment: This is a nice idea, especially with the capture of the reflection, but the composition might have been improved as a landscape orientation (to emphasize the width of the carousel, and framing it so the carousel's reflection wasn't cut off on the end. A good capture of the spinning lights. |

The Thrill of Youth by DrAchooComment: I really like the pose and expression of the boy - it really expresses exhilaration well and meets the challenge. |

Turbopropby e301Comment: I like the view of the landscape through the turning propeller. A clever take on the challenge. |

Take A Spin Downtownby scarbrdComment: Wow, what is that? Very nice meet-the-challenge, and the wheel just pops out from the background. I especially like that you can see the cityscape through the wheel, too. It's a shame the trees break up the full circle of the wheel, but I suppose that couldn't be avoided. |

Pinwheelby pipersdComment: I like this - it's just a simple, but unique composition. Isolating the pinwheel in a studio shot is a good move, IMO - no distracting background, and the choice of colors are attractive |
