Veins: the life linesby Jaded_HousewifeComment: A couple of things about this shot disturb me, which might be your intent:
- the veins are lines, but make me worry something is wrong
- the child looks like he's wearing makeup at a very young age
Edited to reflect post-challenge reflection in general and specific commentary from Artyste. I still feel it's a disturbing photo, but I should have worded it differently. Message edited by author 2006-07-26 23:54:31. |

Linear ripplesby KHoltComment: Nice! I like how the lines form a steady background leading to the surprise of the duck's shape, which is so different. |

Electricity Linesby karinnComment: I really like this composition and the color contrast. But use the full size next time! |

2am... Still no idea what to shootby TygerrComment: Neat shot.
Mostly wanted to comment, though, to thank you so much for your comments on how you did it.
It's this kind of detailed, thoughtful description that so helps those of us trying to figure out a) how you did it and b) how we can do it. |

Turn Leftby TygerrComment: Very nice shot. The light trails look almost solid. And a good choice to get the road sign in there as a clue to what this is.
I wonder whether it would improve if you eliminated the red trail? |

Romantic Progress?by TygerrComment: Ah, brilliant idea! I like how you managed the light. I need to learn more about how to light my main foreground subject well while still making the background visible. |

Acidic enough to eat through metal...by TygerrComment: Wow. You're like the McGuyver of photography: "all I had was a camera and a coke can and a crappy towel, so the best I could do was 6/93."
I love that you told us how you did it, because it gives the rest of us hope that we can cobble together stuff that looks good, too.
As of right now, my "studio" consists of one piece of white poster board, one piece of black poster board, and ... that's it. Oh, and whatever books, tupperware, and stuff I can find that my wife makes me put back when I'm finished. :) |

First 500 Blue Ribbonsby SDWComment: LOL.
Well, that saves me the trouble of having to add 500 pictures to my favorites list. :) |
