My New Dress and Hatby marcelliebComment: Hmm. Not sure about the selective desat. I like it in some cases, but here it draws me away from the absolutely adorable girl to the shirt. Yes, I know, that was the point. But man, what a cute kid! |

1by HBunchComment: Heyyyy ...
I was in that exact spot in June! Several friends from high school had congregated there for one guy's birthday. We then took a windy water taxi ride to the Navy Pier. Are the dragons still there?
And more importantly, is that you? :) |

it's just part of office workby myceliumComment: Well, it's been a few months since someone commended you, so I'll pile on. :)
I'm impressed that you thought of using the thumbnail as the hook to then fool people with the full-size one. I don't think any of the other illusions depended on that difference. |

Daddy - The Sweetest Name in Transportationby aimeethetooComment: Tim - we can just assume you're going to love all of Aimee's shots. ;)
However, as a father of two girls (6 and 9), I LOVE this shot! So it's going in my faves, too.
Have you bought a baby backpack yet? I used mine a lot and was able to take our girls all over the place. Less neck strain! Just get one from a company who makes normal backpacks. Message edited by author 2006-08-29 01:35:17. |

Colour Dropsby xianartComment: I'll ring as another person who had to look several times to see that the "drops" are actually holes as opposed to sticking up from the metal surface.
Really great creativity to see that this would be interesting. Like other shots in your portfolio, this shot shows that you're far from locked into "stand straight and shoot what's in front of you" - you really find interesting angles and ways to fill the frame.
And that's why this is going in my favorites and you're going on my favorite photogs list. :) |

Lake Hodgesby KnightmovesComment: The potential for an interesting shot is here, the stuff of interest is too little of the vertical extent. It might have worked better to crop so the mountains and reflection take up more space. You'll also get more zing by moving the shoreline out of the center of the picture. You can still get the mountains and the reflection in the shot without that.
And, as I'm sure you'll hear repeatedly, the horizon is tilted. |

Fun with Physics!by Ecce_SignumComment: Congrats! So how did you do it if there were no strings attached? Is it one of those magnetic things? |
