Stan & Ollieby GeneralEComment: I voted this a 6. I was about to hit 5, meaning to me "decent shot, focused, some thought clearly went into it, but not a stunner" when I read the title.
Now, I don't usually like the title to tell the story, but when I looked back up it was just so perfect I laughed. Not LOL laughed, but literally out loud. And that was worth another point. :)
That said, I agree with some of the commenters about missing the ground and the light at the bottom. |

The Bug Stops Hereby scalvertComment: Man, you just continue to amaze me. You didn't intend to enter the flowers challenge. Bang! Ribbon. You almost apologized for winning in the fireworks challenge. Your ribbon in magic & mystery came despite your own complaints about the technicals.
And now you drop a bug on your daughter and get a score that most would kill for.
We need to distill whatever it is you've got and give it out as an incentive to re-up membership. And I've already read your "how to win a ribbon thread," so don't refer me there. :) |

Beside Still Watersby mpetersComment: I rarely say this, but I'm truly stunned at this score. I think your star shot is better than mine! I got a comment early on that suggested someone thought I'd cloned in some stars, so I asked for validation. Maybe you can try that the next time someone starts questioning your shot.
It'll also help for folks who've never taken a night shot like this and don't understand just how much light a sensor absorbs over a long exposure. I can't speak for you, but my shot definitely shows more light, stars, and details in the mountains than I saw with my eyes.
If you'd be willing, I'd love to see your original. Mine is here:
Maybe we could collaborate on a tutorial. :) |

Day4by FayeaComment: My first thought was "wow - HOW did she make her whole body disappear?"
Then I realized that was a foot. LOL! |

At one with Natureby Jaded_HousewifeComment: You go semi-topless, and I will. ;) And I betcha you get better comments than I do!
Do you have a timer? I'd really like to see your other hand. |

Who in the hell invited the fantasy football nerd?!by Elvis_LComment: This is a great example of groups producing better and better material. Rex's original idea, your adding a storyline. Can't wait to see what someone comes up with next!
And your execution is terrific. I love the guy err ... you ... standing right up front pointing to the screen! |

Cold Comfortby dahkotaComment: That's a terrific shot! You really nailed the focus on his eyes, and your storytelling is perfect with the title. Funny - almost exactly the same placement, score, and percentile as mine in Free Study XII. You got more comments, though. :) |
