I gave this one a 7, I think I would have gone higher but the bright spot on the ball is a real distraction to me. I think the colors and layering is very nice and the placement of the ball in the frame is great.

Five to One

The lighting is pretty harsh which makes the image way to light and the background to much of a focal point which takes away from the subject, the subject also lacks a real wow factor which is partially the lighting and partially the subject it self. The subject does have some neat layering and writing that makes me stop to study what it to figure out what it is and maybe with better lighting it could work. IMO, this image is too busy and lack a subject to focus on, if the thorns are the subject it may work a little better to get a tighter crop and focus on fewer thorns at one time. Hope the information is helpful, good luck in the challenge.

Very cool building, I love the old buildings they have so much character. I wish colors on this one did not look so unrealistic, I think they hold the image back. The reds and blues appear to be over saturated, the clock in the tower even has a blue cast and I assume the clock face likely should have been white.
