BITE ME!!!by joannadivaComment: Cute in a funny kind of way! You did well with the reflections on the glass. The lighting is good as is the crop. The only things I dont really care for are the water droplets/splashes on the side of the glass. |

He Heard It Straight From The Horse's Mouthby ShannonComment: The look in the horse's eye suggests s/he was not very happy with this shot! Probably the only glaring thing I dont really like is the fencepost and wire/fence in the bottom right. Other than that it's a fairly humorous shot. |

Look for the fork in the road!by ColeyComment: This is good and very funny. I can just imagine someone giving directions and actually meaning this type of fork in the road and yet our conceived notion assumes the other. It's very simplistic and stark, not sure if you added the grain/noise or it's natural, but I like it. Contrasts are good, composition is good, I like the addition of the grass bank on the left. Good idea! |

I heard it through the grapevineby ursulaComment: The tone is good, I like the focus, it has a nice soft feel to it. I realise the thing on the side of her face is the grapevine, but it kinda looks odd in the shot. The lighting is also good. It's an odd photo to vote on. Without the grapevine it would be a very pretty portrait but off topic, and yet with the grapevine it's on topic but has a fairly large distraction. I like it anyways! |

Call Me!by arnitComment: I really like this! The lighting is good with lots of nice shadows and contrasts that makes the black and white work well. I also like the fact that you have got in close. The smile, the phone, and the twirling of the cord all suggest an intimacy, which is further complimented by the close crop. Very well expressed. |

Dances to the beat of a different drummer.by newtune3Comment: Very colorful and I like how you have taken this is an open natural setting instead of indoors or somewhere with a modern background. The inclusion of some motion is good too, but the overall image isnt very sharp. |

Behind the eight ballby pcodyComment: Did the ball move or was this handheld? What is interesting is that the white of the ball clearly has some camera shake (or else you have a very dirty/smudged ball), but the doll is very sharp. This certainly has humor, but not really sure what else to say about it. The OOF 8 just seems to dominate the image, which I guess is the point of it due to the saying. This doesnt really do much for me, sorry. |

Six of One, Half-Dozen of the Other (or Am I Comparing Apples and Oranges?)by TooCoolComment: Looks like you may have some hot pixels, such a shame we cant clone. Anyways, the light reflections are good and miminal, something I often find annoying with fruit, especially the shiny kind. There feels like just the smallest amount of tilt with the apples higher than the oranges, otherwise it could be the heavier amount of shadow on the apples that are making it look like that. I'm assuming you had the light closer to the oranges, which is probably why they are more prominent and the apples are more in shadows. I like the shadows, it gives the feeling of much more dramatic lighting. The shadows on the bottom of the oranges just looks a little odd. Overall I like it, but there seems to be something missing and I'm not sure what. |

Totally Tubular!by kirbicComment: Firstly I admit my ignorance at not knowing what these items are. They look like strange light bulbs. I do know the saying and so I'm going to assume there is a link rather than vote you down for my ignorance. The mix of colors is interesting, it all looks fairly sharp, although I get a feeling of it being fairly cluttered. I dont know if these are singular items put together in a group of three or whether they are all connected, but my eyes are not sure on what part to look at. You have them dead center with some negative space above it. I'm not sure if the top black area was really needed. A close crop at the top to fill the frame may have helped more because of the tight crop at the bottom, giving it a slight symmetry. It's not a wow shot to me, but it is certainly interesting. |

Dog Day Afternoonby CathyComment: Hrm, first thing I think of is that the crop is a little too tight. I'm guessing this was to get rid of the background junk. The expression on the dog is good, certainly captures the message of the title and phrase, however, it could have done with being a little more sharp. Additionally, you could have tried getting down on his/her level rather than shooting from above. I understand how difficult it is to get pictures of pets/animals, but having him/her lay down would give more effect to the lazy part of the phrase. Altering the usual setup of pet pictures can often add a dimension to them that makes them come across a little less like a quick snapshot. |
