Truffles with Cocoa

I like the overall lighting and depth of field to enhance the colors and textures of the chocolate. Although I have to admit that they look a little like the pods in the movie Alien. A shot I would expect to see in a cooking book, and it certainly portrays an appealing product.

Chocolate Covered Raisins

Those leaves certainly stand out brightly. I like the from above angle of the glass/vase that gives the raisins a two-tone effect. The composition is good and the focus seems fine. Looks like you had some difficulties with the white background as there are some obvious darker or miscolored areas, and looks like part of the glass has been affected too. Despite the 'unclean' background it's still an interesting shot.

Abstract in Chocolate

I like the close-up, choice of angle, and depth of field used. Using milk chocolate has made it stand out too. It certainly has an interesting abstract quality to it given the squares, lines, and textures also. A little noise in the blue background but not overly distracting.

Very vibrant orange. I like the reddish tinge on the leaves too, they also have a nice framing silhouette thing too.

Lil' Brown Noser

I like the dof to isolate the head - he looks like he is winking. I also like the earthy tones and the green contrasts nicely. Good texture on the head and seems fairly sharp too.

Soft Elegance

The black and white seems a little wishy-washy and could probably do with more contrast to really darken the blacks that seem fairly grey to me. The close, full-frame shot is good, but the background still seems to be a major part of the image. The petals also lack a little texture and I'm guessing it was likely slightly overexposed. The soft focus helps make it look more delicate but I think having the middle bits (stamen?) be in focus could help balance it out more.

Very pretty landscape. I like the layers of foreground grass, background grass, and mountain, and of course the sky is very dramatic. The colors seem a little odd, although I'm not sure I can explain why it feels like that. The composition is a good classic.

Great textures and color. Nice simple composition with a good non-distractive background. Seems nicely sharp too. Only nitpick would be to have his eye a little brighter/clearer.

Walking from the sunset

A classic image of pier, reflected water, sun, and silhouette. In a perfect moment the sun would have been hazed out a little and been a big perfectly round circle - this sun, hoever, is a little overexposed, but still creates a nice presence. The lone figure and his/her reflection/shadow adds a nice human interest.
