Spiraling Down by AllenPComment: The spiral just draws you in. And all the folks on it just add to the charm. Great conversion to sepia as well - I would've been disappointed if it were in color and the banisters were glittering gold or something :) A ribbon winner in my book.
My only nit is that the center of the spiral is the center of the picture as well. |

Peacockby DudskiComment: Phew! Breathtaking! Very subtle color complement. My top 5.
I don't quite understand why the top tree has an orange cast to its underside - a tungsten bulb out of view? |

Specular complementarity by rio78Comment: I sincerely hope voters don't vote it down as a combination of cliches: wine glasses and drop shots.
This one is Amazingly perfect in a number of ways - showing the amount of pain staking work that went into it. A ribbon winner in my book.
I wish DPC didn't have the 300K limit on uploads - I can see some banding (especially in the blue background). |

Orange and Oh, Those Blues!by sjhulsComment: Such a beautiful picture with a wonderfully subtle color complement. A ribbon winner in my book. I just wish the title lived up to the standard set by the picture :) |

Manhattan Bridge by nutzitoComment: Hehe - Can't believe I happened to be the only one who nitpicked on the flash hue :)
Congratulations on the blue ribbon - a fantastic shot from a fabulous perspective.
I see a 'Nike' curve on the bridge - Maybe you can make money off this shot ;) |

"Hidden Valley Ranch"by sjhulsComment: Missed out on a ribbon by 0.05! Way too close - When I last came 5th I was off by miles so I didn't feel bad. Congratulations on a "Personal Best" and "Honorable Mention" on your profile.
That fence is way too cute and the apples are fantastic! There's a lot of depth to the image and I realized after reading your notes how much effort you put into getting that depth into your picture. Something I need to learn since my pic bothered me for lack of depth. Message edited by author 2010-11-10 00:59:43. |
