Show Me A Sign

The first thing that hit me in this shot is what awesome clors, the green is just so vivid.I like how you kept the first two signs, which are the most notable in excellent focus. I also really liked how the road comes in then curves off out of the shot. I think you could have cropped it up to about the bottom of the two track, the weeds do nothing for the shot unless you just reallly wanted the bottle included, but in my opinion, you really don'tneed it. 8.

Yeah hmmm lets drive into the water. Good find for a sign :) I like the placement and angle of the stop sign, just wish the boat was not so close in the background, it really takes your attention away from the sign. The colors are bright and vivid and the focus is very good on the sign. To my eyes there seems to be a bit too much dead space, but the overall effect works for the shot.7.

I am not too sure if I would have gone with framing htre shots in center, especially with your title, it would have been nice to get the signs and also catch a glimpse of the store itself. I probably would have tried to use the rule of thirds and used the pole to create the left quadrant. That would have also reduced the distracting street/poles on the left currently. The focus is also a bit off on the signs also. This shot does have potential, I just personally would have liked it executed a bitdifferent.3.

I like the angle you chose for the sign, but with the background, it lead my eyes right to some ugly and distracting poles and wires. It makes me wonder why you chose this angle and to include the plant and everything else on the background (Sugar plant?). I would like to have seen the whole pole on the left too, the way it is, it is cropped too close. The sign itself is in good focus, and I like the lighting, not too light or dark. 6.

There we go again trying to ruin my favorite vacation land. Very interesting place to find a road sign, though it makes for a cool shot. The tree makes a perfect pole, much more interesting than a piece of steel. Your framing of the sign was great, really makes the sign stand out. Lighting and focus was also exceptional. The colors are OK I understand it is winter not much color to be found anywhere. 7.

Railroad crossing on railroad Ave., Geez they were sure inventive when naming that road. I like the black and white effect, colors would not give the crossing sign as much contrast. Good job with the focus ont he subjects int he fore ground, the background is a bit busy and distracting though, did you try blurring it out at all, or play with the saturation levels? Sometimes you can get rid of annoying wires with a little toying around. 7.

I gonna find ya...... sorry just couldn't resist. Very catchy title. I really like how you drew the red color from the shot to the border, but my attention is drawn to that part of the picture first, I don't know if that was your intention or not. I like the depth both of the signs create (the fire lane does help with this also), and you kept the 2nd sign in focus, I like that. There is something that bothers me about the colors though, mabey a bit too yellow, can't totally put my finger on it right now. Was it a hazy day? There is also red spots all through the trees which doesn't look natural, you may have over saturated the red a bit too much. I figured you saturated it to get the effect with the fire lane. If you did, that may also be causing the color problem.
Overall I like the effect with the fire lane, but I feel your colors were a bit off. Thanks for reading my ramblings. 8.

Cool signs! I liked how crisp the focus was onthe forward signs, but the no horse sign, I would have liked to se a bit more in focus, for the rest I like the blur. My attention is drawn to the other sign for it also tells part of the story here, that is why I would like to see it a bit crisper. The colors are great, just wished the sky would have cooperated that day and given a deeper blue. 8.

What a good find for a road sign, this one gave me the giggles. Your focus was very good, sharp on the main subject and then goes fuzzy in the background. The road trailing on the left is a nice touch, but I think it is cropped a bit too close. Overall good job.8.

The road to hell.......Great shot I really like the saturation effect with the green and greyed out background. The angle is just great, gives it a really cool perspective. The trees are a bit washed out, but not too bad.9.
