the pelicanby grigrigirlComment: GORGEOUS!!! The lighting is wonderful and the detail is great too. The pose and arrangement of feathers of this bird is exceptional. This is a work of art. 10 |

The Diminishing Great Lakesby scrum8Comment: Lighting is really great and I like the contrast and different shades of blue and white. Only thing I think it really needs is one interesting subject to bring the whole composition together, like maybe a gull sitting on a block of wood. Good job. |

Mates for Lifeby HRoxasComment: Composition very nicely done with the swans facing in the same direction. Crop is good too, but I think your exposure is a bit off with the bright sun. Contrast is just a bit too high and water too dark. |

Allianceby melongrindComment: Impressive candid photo with so many different facial expressions and gestures of a family portrait. I really love the intensity of the facial expression of the girl in the middle. Composition is equally impressive and I also love how you fit in to the right upper corner the boy. B&W is perfect for this shot and exposure is excellent. A classic! Very well done. |

Patent Penguinby wwjdwithcaComment: I like the profile you've captured...very interesting angle of view, but the image appears too dark and the animals head is blending in with the background. Meets the challenge theme well. |

The Mask - Unveiling Man's Disguiseby Spanish_GreaseComment: I love the composition and think the subject matter fits the challenge theme very well. Very interesting angle of view. I can see this being a picture in NG. The mask could probably use some more light as it appears too dark and you've lost some detail there. Well done, nonetheless. |

Frost Painted Paneby adineComment: Interesting subject matter and you've captured the detail very well in this macro. I think I would have preferred this in color and with the whites brigher. As it is now, I think it lacks some punch because the whites are so grey looking and flat. Fits the challenge theme well. Good job. |

She sings for her supper.by kavamamaComment: Subject matter is very compelling. Great human interest story type photograph. Composition could be somewhat improved with a different angle of view and maybe a narrower DOF. Meets the challenge theme well. Nicely done. |

Prehistoric Sea Animals from the Ordovician Seaby MarjoComment: Great shot! LOVE the pastel colors and the subject matter here (my best guess is a horseshoe crab amoungst sea anemones but I'm probably wrong on both accounts). I think the image could use a bit more contrast and color saturation. Nicely done, though. |
