Tired of nature, he fled over this bridge to New York City

Nice interplay of lavender and orangish color tones to make a very appealing image. There is just something about bridges that will always fascinate the viewer. Very clean image, nicely post processed with excellent sharpness.
I tell ya, I'd rather have been stranded in NYC's concrete jungle than the hot Sonoran desert... Beer is a lot closer in NYC. Think I'll try losing myself your way next time. Doubt I'd be easier to find, though. ;) - Steve

Behind The Lense - Sonoran Springs Remembered

A very nice tribute to "Sonoran Spring", even the clouds look right. Appears like it was shot with a polarizer filter like the original. Nicely done B&W with excellent tonality, especially in the clouds and sky. Beautifully captured.
Oddly enough, this scene is reasonably close to what it looked like where I was actually lost. Cactus were not quite as nice where I was at, though, but the low hills were similar. "Sonoran Spring" was shot on the opposite side of the Superstition Mountains from where I got lost.
During my trek I saw towering thunderhead clouds that made for absolutely spectacular sunsets. Sunrises were beautiful to, but alas... So sad... no pictures. :( - Steve

Unsure exactly what it all really means, but very creative. I'll try most anything once. :) Good general technical quality and the white background fits. (I think). There is only a bit of haloing around the girl gorilla's foot. Colors work and the way the she is holding the photographer down in the trunk is cute. Balance and composition are fine. Nicely done.
Some thoughts that come to my mind regarding the meaning of this image are a lot scarier than others, if you get my drift. They make being lost in the desert seem tame. LOL! However, The frog prince is my DPC profile picture. That is because I'm still waiting for waiting for a beautiful princess to kiss me and turn me back into a handsome prince. If you are lovely maiden cloaked in a gorilla looking for a handsome prince to return you to your true self then we need to talk more. If not, then I am running back out into the desert as fast as I can. - Steve

Nice color and light processing that adds body and depth to the composition. The exceptionally clean look and clarity makes this image good. The greens are great and compliment the lavenders, blues and reds of the sky. The image has an almost surrealistic look to it. Decent technical quality. The people look as though they are searchng for "the lost photographer".
Personally, I would rather have been lost at the beach with a cooler full of beer than with nothing in the desert. Think I'll try it that way next time. LOL! My sister and niece put up flyers along the Oregon coast near one of my favorite beaches there in an attempt to relocate me. - Steve

A very different interpretation of the challenge topic. This is a good metaphoric representation of someone wandering lost and bonded closely to nature in order to get through it and find their way back. Like the use of the rule of thirds for representing "The Lost Photographer" but unsure how well the border fits the image.
I wished to have corn to eat out where I was lost. That would have been tastier than the sprouts and cactus fruit I ate. It is interesting to note that in this area (Phoenix, Arizona USA), where irrigated, corn is grown in abundance and looks just like this. Next time I think I'll choose to get lost there. :) - Steve

Professor Plum, in the Dining Room, with the Rope

Professor Plum, in the Dining Room, with the Rope3rd Place

Comment:
Unique interpretation that strongly fits the challenge topic exceptionally well. Surprising that no one else thought of it. Given the theme, red tones work well here and the arrangement, particularly of the candles illuminating "Professor Plum" is fine.
Candlelight refections are a bit of a distraction. Perhaps curling the noose around more toward the middle of the frame could cover that up, or angling the shot slightly from the left closer for highlighting the rope more is worth consideration. There is a lot of empty space in the lower right foreground. Curling the top part of the noose around on that side rather than having it directly under the noose could fill that spot. A little more sharpness to bring out the fine detail would be nice. The table lighting is unbalanced where the right side is better illuminated than the left.
Overall this is a nice shot.

Interesting and well done. Good concept. Horizon is perfectly level and the image quality is good. Don't know if the path is purposely made exceptionally smooth like that, but it adds interest to the composition. Nice to think a landscapre photographer could just drift off and fade away into scene.
Hmmmmm... methinks my illigitimate son took this picture. That alone is reason enough for each and every one of you to give this image a 10. I'll be checking scores closely on this one.
Think I got a little closer to the end of the landscape that I really wanted to when I was lost, if you get my drift, but everything turned out all right. There were times I wished I had an umbrella and could just float my way back to civilization. :) - Steve

Certainly one of the most creative interpretations of the challenge topic. Reminds me of the final scene in "2001 - A Space Odyssey". Good color tones. Very well done. I'm curious and hope you explain in the details how this image was made. This should place high in this challenge.
Next time I want to be abducted to a planet full of insatiable amazon women! Can that be arranged? - Steve

Every challenge has has flower images submited to it. They always seem to fit in every challenge. Nice way you placed the ghost figure in the center. Good job. If it overcomes the flower backlash effect this one will be a top finisher.
Being a big fan of flowers and having taken thousands of pictures of them myself I like seeing them inchallenges. This one is no exception except perhaps for that ugly guy hidden there in the middle. LOL! I did see a couple small cactus blossoms during my recent desert trek but there are not many this time of year. - Steve

Good perspective and nice use of a wide angled lense. Like the balance the foreground plants add to the image. Conveys the sense of freedom one feels when alone in communion with nature. The red rocks look a lot like those around Sedona, Arizona USA but I suspect this was taken in Utah or Colorado.
During my wanderings in the desert I never had enough energy to raise my arms that enthusiastically and I would have killed to find a pond of water as inviting as the one in your image. :) - Steve
