Professor Plum is played by my Father-in-Law. My wife and Mother-in-Law helped with the setup. Credit also to my buddy Ian for suffering a few blisters in helping me tie the noose in this shot.

Lighting was three lamps, one with a tinfoil half-cone taped to it to guide the light around the curve in the noose.

I think you’ll find its colonel mustard, so infact you’re all wrong!
Great shot, love the way Prof. Plum blends into the background. It also helps that I love this game!

Oh that's bull, it was totally Colonel Custard! The professor is an innocent man.

Very nice shot! Would've been better if you nabbed the right murderer though. Nice ribbon regardless.

My buddy and I looked that one up on the internet together and credit to him for doing it a good three or four times to get it just right.

Ah, Clue. I'd almost forgotten that game. Good lighting for a spooky effect, and I think you did one of the best hangman's knots this challenge.

Unique interpretation that strongly fits the challenge topic exceptionally well. Surprising that no one else thought of it. Given the theme, red tones work well here and the arrangement, particularly of the candles illuminating "Professor Plum" is fine.
Candlelight refections are a bit of a distraction. Perhaps curling the noose around more toward the middle of the frame could cover that up, or angling the shot slightly from the left closer for highlighting the rope more is worth consideration. There is a lot of empty space in the lower right foreground. Curling the top part of the noose around on that side rather than having it directly under the noose could fill that spot. A little more sharpness to bring out the fine detail would be nice. The table lighting is unbalanced where the right side is better illuminated than the left.
Overall this is a nice shot.

cool , but i would've liked it more without Prof. Plum. It would be good with a panarama type cut to just include the tabletop and its contents

A nice rope shot. Deeper DOF would have been nice here to add crispness to the glasses and probably Prof. Plum in the back.

Very good idea for this challenge, your setup is great. Technically, I can't find anything wrong with this picture but just to be picky, I think that if we could see Professor Plum a bit better it would have been a perfect picture. Great job.
