Morning Gloryby JudiComment: Composition and framing is good, nice clarity. Sunrises are always a good source of a great picture. Your choice of color processing ruins the composition for me. You crossed the border from exotic into false coloring. Regardless the length of the exposre there is little in the composition to suggest a long exposure. Viewers will likely fault you on both counts. |

The Reflective Eyeby GrayGhostComment: What a nice shot. It captures the feeling of an impressionist painting with the way you have composed and processed it. Excellent, excellent work. |

Water Colors by NeilComment: Nicely composed riverscape. Captures the feeling of fall using a somewhat surrealistic presentation. The detail in the delicate branches and foreground leaves are its strongest characteristics. Though the bright area in the center of the sky adds drama to the composition it is a bit over exposed. You might want to try toning that down a bit to see how that looks. The right side riverback seems a bit "busy" with its great amount of detail. Perhaps adding a little blur on just that area would soften its overcluttered look. Overall this is a very, very nice shot. |

Stars and Stripesby GunnsiComment: Been nice to have included the whole of Ursa Major (at least the big dipper part) in the composition and less of the foreground. |

Miller's Coveby RKTComment: The near foreground is a distraction to an otherwise stunning autumn image. |

Skyscapeby MrvileComment: Good idea and nice composition. The upper center cloud is slightly overexposed and acts as a viewer distraction. The horizon is not quite level. |

When the Gales of November Come Earlyby donenrightComment: Great minimalist composition. Conveys a good sense of danger from the storms on the Great Lakes. Makes me hear Gordon Lightfoot telling us the story of the Edmund Fitzgerald right now. |

... sans titre ...by AlainComment: Beautiful snow scene, great concept, not overexposed, very nice high contrast B&W. Vertical is not true in this image. You can see that if the trees were corrected to vertical (tops tilted back to the left) that the end of the deck would be straightened as well. A curiosity, though, is that front railings would be made even more unbalanced than they already are. Not sure why that is or how to correct it. |
