Just For Youby TerryGeeComment: The nice gradient background, the DOF and the focus on the flower are the main strengths of this image. It is composed very well. |

half tangerine with grapesby darcyComment: I really liked the color, composition, and DOF of this image. It is very well done. I would have given this a higher score if the background noise were removed. Good image quality would make this one a contender. |

Still Life.....After the Baseball Seasonby fisheyeComment: A unique and humorous still life. It is a good quality image. It would be perfect without the chair back on the left and a shallower DOF with baseball memorabilia in the background cabinet. |

X-Ray Geeseby flauriComment: I can't speak for others but reversed image, infrared and other radical color changes do not work well for me and that is true in this case. Live Geese are not a traditional still life subjects since they are animate. Cooked and displayed nicely on a platter, unfortunately, would be better a better still life subject. |

Taking showerby GoodEndComment: You captured a good moment but the focus is very poor. That does not work well. This image also has a down-side quality that occurs frequent with automatic cameras... the background is in better focus than the main subject. Unfortunately that is almost impossible to see until you load it on your computer. It is good to take more than one shot of a subject to get a good one. |

Still Pampusby CathyComment: You picked a nice subject but the focus and overal image quality is not particularly good. Sometimes you have to work within the limits of your particular camera to produce its best results. |

Winning Lifeby Melly8522Comment: This would benefit greatly if the background noise were reduced with NeatImage or another process. Better yet, you would do better to have a more nontraditional arrangement of the awards and a different background. An image like this always is of more personal interest than anything else. Focus on the leftmost trophy is not good. It is more like a snapshot than anything. I entered an award image in a challenge and it did very poorly. |

The Roughby jfaulknerComment: Good contrast with green grass and ball and is good use of DOF, but this image was hurt by overexposure of the ball on the left side. |
