Great... Now I gotta pee!by SJCarterComment: First impression is that this is more out of focus than soft focused which I'm sure is not your intention. Maybe you were trying something different from the standard longer exposed image with the banks in focus but the strong water flow pattern. However, this one might have bee better if you'd used the standard technique but then duplicated the layer and applied a strong gaussian blur to the duplicated layer, and then reduced the opacity of the blurred layer until it had an overall dreamlike appearance. |

Enchanted Forestby om10Comment: Like the concept that you were after... it is a good idea. I'd have cropped just the center of the image where it is most 'enchanted' and tried for a very soft, dreamlike focus. There are good examples of what you want that are previous ribbon winners. It would benefit you to locate some of those previous winners and contact the photographers to see how they achieved their success. In fact, I'd like to learn how to do those well myself. :) |

Journeyby fifieldComment: This image has some nice things going for it, like the treelines and the dandylions gone to seed. I suspect this is just your camera over which you have no control but the overall general low technical quality hurts this image. I'm unsure the person in the image helps it or not. It might be better without him. The focus is not particularly good either.
If your camera is capable of doing macro I would recommend retaking this image from ground level with several dandylions closeup in sharp focus and with the treeline and sky behind them in recognizable but soft focus. |

Restoring one of my own....by AzrifelComment: This is a fantastic dream. It might not be a sailboat, but we all have our own similar dreams we can identify with you on. Great concept. |

The Shiny Yellow Stuffby EvaanComment: High quality image. Good color and lighting. The only improvement would be to make the background solid back. Otherwise, beautifully done. You are to be commended. |

Reaching for Blueby cheekymunkyComment: Most images like this blatantly going for a high score generally are not done well. This is an exceptional image deserving of a ribbon! Hope you get it. |
