Interesting idea, I like how retro it feels. Interesting toning to the image too. Only thing I dont really like is the composition with the front of the car being cropped out and so much space behind.

I like the use of DOF to separate the background from the foreground but the focus seems a little off. The image overall is a little dark so maybe it was just too long a shutter speed that caused the image to be soft. There also seems to be a yellow/orange cast to the image. Using the eyedroppers in levels could help correct the white balance.

So you converted the prints to negative and printed them out so they would look positive in the negative image? Hehe that's clever! Really neat effect too.
