Maybe an iphone shot is the maximum real deal for a shot like this. (Wait'l you see what I get on my spyphone). I'm going to see all sorts of pictures of some place I've never been and probably won't ever go. Neat, huh? I think it's interesting that, while this picture may be short on a couple of camera- and photo- technical things, it may bring us in there even more just because of that kind of quality.

Looks every inch a good friend. I guess the lighting is not exactly portrait standard, but snapshots are a genre and I think it works for this.

Magnificent flowers, aren't they? According to what you're saying about trying again for more d.o.f., maybe either those yellow petals in the back need to be more in focus, or an off-camera flash to one side could fetch out the water droplets...
But this is a very nice example of urban stuff.
