Quick Burgers, Where Size Really Mattersby nutzitoComment: It looks like a lovely tongue-in-cheek moment - I sort of hope she gave it to a passing stranger afterwards...
I remember 'Quick' in Cannes 20 years ago. They were not quick :)
This certainly makes a publicity photo, although the non-seriousness of the models would perhaps be just a little too transparent for an ad agency that takes such things seriously. Good lighting though. Nice looking couple. I hope they got some proper food later on :) |

Healthy and fastby OdieComment: Don't come a lot faster than that! Nice idea and a pretty well executed shot. I think the blur is effective, but might have worked better on the 'understanding' level with hands on the apples. It must have been tricky to get the lighting right and, although a glossy apple is in many ways good, I think you've gone a little too far toward making it look more like plastic than food. It's very hard to get that right, I think.
I have to go to 6 for the fresh idea. |

If you have a taste for the finest....insist on it !! by senor_kasperComment: This appears to be painstakingly well set up. I think maybe the food looks just a touch over-saturated (check out the cheese) although that might be helping it to look half way appetising. You've also fulfilled the advert part of the challenge - in spades. Could you have left the colour on the roses? It would make for a pretty positive association...
Anyway, as much as it hurts my principles to appreciate the lauding of these products, I have to go to 7 on this because it's so damned well done and thought out. Oops! it just went up to 8 - that's inflation for you... |

Fast Food (no-more)by FalcComment: This is an envelope pusher, which may not be a reason to give higher scores of itself, but the textures, lighting and composition are superb. 10 |

Decimated downtown. Only the flowers are alive.by snafflesComment: Excellent shot. Ya boo etc to the nay sayers. I think I might have tried to rotate so the fence, or maybe just that main pole, is parallel to the edge - the crookedness looks accidental.
Very much a legitimate social documentation photograph in the spirit of street photography in my arrogant humble opinion. |
