Breathtaking. this is an incredibely beautiful, colorful scene with tons of depth. the hiker almost takes away from it for me. my eye wants to keep looking at him/her as the focus of the photo especially with your title choice even though the star here is this environment. I just cant keep from looking at the hiker long enough to fully appreciate the beauty of the land. Still just incredible. I hope you do very well with this. 9

I love this. so clear, great black and white conversion. my only nitpick is that oen building beign cut off at the top otherwise fantastic.

Burrowing Owl

cute! I'd agree the blur is distracting. maybe at least keep that sharp line of focus across the grass and crop some of the right hand side off to follow the rule of thirds with the owl? great color and what timing that shot must have taken. Birds hear me coming from like half a mile away. I can't get near one to save my life. :P

I love the way the background looks but the flower is just too soft overall for me. if even just half of the flower was in focus and then it dropped off that would make it dramatically better. The colors are lovely however.
