Perfect bokeh in this one against the soft focused red flower..... |

I like it because it has an almost painting-like quality to it; it's composed of large relatively uniform blobs of color that still communicate what it is. I feel like it communicates the "gesture" of a flower without feeling the need to reproduce a flower; since not very much photography goes in this direction it speaks to me. |

My personal taste is for defined lines in a pic. I am not a big fan of soft focus unless you can make out the details still. I hope you will post somewhere why you like this so much. I make that statement out of curiosity because a pic like this goes in the opposite direction of what I normally like to look at. A different perspective would be enlightening. |

The OOF is perfect. That's the best part of this. It's the OOF that makes the colors so beautiful. Colors are just colors after all, waiting to see what we do with them. My only suggestion is a more interesting composition, but I'm perverse that way. The composition actually works very well, it just seems "familiar". |

I love the way the background looks but the flower is just too soft overall for me. if even just half of the flower was in focus and then it dropped off that would make it dramatically better. The colors are lovely however. |
